Dr. Herman Zarate is board-certified in podiatry and podiatric surgery with several years of practice experience, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients of all ages across the Washington, DC area.

Dr. Zarate teaches as an attending at the VA Hospital in Northport, Long Island. He is also an attending physician at Washington Adventist Hospital, Shady Grove Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital.

Dr. Zarate received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residencies at Saint Barnabas Hospital and New York Harbor Healthcare Veterans Affair, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

In addition to his initial training, Dr. Zarate takes great pride in his continuing education and remains at the forefront of the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques by attending courses and annual conferences. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the Maryland Podiatry State Medical Association.

Dr. Zarate is fluent in English and Spanish, and speaks conversational French as well.

Dr. Svetlana Malinsky embarked on her medical journey at the University of Maryland at College Park, earning a degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Fueled by her passion for medicine, she furthered her education with a four-year program at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She then honed her skills during a two-year residency at both the Metropolitan Hospital and the Foot Clinics of New York in NYC.

Choosing to serve the community she knows and loves, Dr. Malinsky established her practice in Rockville, Maryland. Over the years, she has broadened her reach, offering top-tier Podiatric care across Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. With over 18 years of dedication to her craft, Dr. Malinsky remains steadfast in her commitment to providing unparalleled care to all her patients.
